The IEA-RETD TCP will present the outcome of its Comparative Analysis of International Offshore Wind Energy Development at the Offshore WInd Energy 2017 Conference, co-organized by RenewableUK and WindEurope, in London in the UK on 7 June 2017.
As one of the leading conferences in the world on Offshore Wind, it will address the most important technical, political and market developments from industry experts, particularly focusing on innovation and forward-thinking.
Responding to these objectives, the IEA-RETD project REWind Offshore will be presented in a session entitled ‘Further reducing the costs of capital’. This session will focus on how projects are financed, and the costs of securing that financing have a significant effect on the overall costs of delivering and operating offshore wind farms.
David de Jager (Operating Agent) will set the scene by presenting the recent findings of REWind Offshore, especially regarding offshore wind policy and market evolution towards industry maturity and cost reduction. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.
